Pittsburgh Ski Club Constitution

ARTICLE I – NAME

The name of this organization shall be “Pittsburgh Ski Club, Incorporated”. The Club may be affiliated with international, national, state and local ski organizations.

ARTICLE II – OBJECT

This Club is a non–profit organization. As such, it shall have as its objective: to promote the sport of skiing for the benefit of the membership through related activities such as safety, inspection, travel, competition, physical fitness, good fellowship and sportsmanship throughout the year.

These activities shall not be deemed to be all inclusive and shall not be restricted to the skiing season, but rather shall extend throughout the calendar year, if desired.

ARTICLE III – CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Club shall be open to individuals who are interested in skiing and who are interested in the projects, methods and purposes of the Club and wish to give personal and practical aid to their fulfillment.

ARTICLE IV – OFFICERS

The officers of the Club shall be a president, three vice–presidents, a secretary, a treasurer, and the immediate past president. All officers must be members in good standing. The aforementioned shall constitute the executive committee.

ARTICLE V – ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING

The last Club meeting of the fiscal year shall be the annual business meeting.

ARTICLE VI – AMENDMENTS

This Constitution may be ammended by a majority vote of the members present at any regular club meeting, provided notice of the proposed ammendment is postmarked ten days prior to the meeting at which action is to take place.
