How do I apply for Membership?
It's really easy. There are several ways. But, first of all, let's review the benefits
you'll receive as a PSC member. You will receive...
- Free admission to Club social meetings (You will quickly recoup the cost of membership)
- Reduced admission to social activities (Again, you will easily recoup the membership
cost)
- Eligibility for all Ski Club trips (It's a must. You must be a member to go on a PSC
trip)
- Discount lift tickets and ski lessons
- Ski racing and gate training programs
- Voting privileges on Ski Club issues
- The PSC News (Our multi-page monthly newsletter is one of the best around)
- Annual membership directory
Once you join the PSC, your application will be
processed and a membership card will be mailed to you. Your name will be added to our
mailing list so that you will receive The PSC News. Our fiscal year runs
from June 1 to May 31. New and renewing members may apply at any time. For all renewing
members, it will be a seamless continuum. New applicants who apply after April 15th will
receive a complimentary membership until our fiscal year begins on June 1. That means that
they will be able to enter PSC events at the comlimentary member rate. An application is
always available in our club newsletter. You can also click on APPLICATION
to get a blank application form which can be instantly printed by your computer printer,
then filled out and mailed.
Annual Dues: adults 21+ are $25; additional adults at same
address are $15 each. Children under 21, with adult, are $10 each. Memberships will be
effective from today until May 31, 2007. The PSC's Constitution requires that membership
newsletter privileges be terminated unless renewal dues are received by July 31st.
Applying for membership is very easy...
- If you would like to join the Pittsburgh Ski Club, you can click on APPLICATION
to get a blank application form which can be instantly printed by your computer printer,
then filled out and mailed. Our club is run completely by volunteers. And sometimes, our
membership committee finds literally hundreds of applications in the mailbox. It usually
takes a few weeks to process your application, cash your check, mail your membership card
back to you in the SASE that you provide, start your newsletter subscription, and enter
your information into our database. This is the method that most of the new members
use to join. Please be patient with us; we're a BIG club.
- If you would rather receive information in the mail, you can just send the Pittsburgh
Ski Club an e-mail at info@pittsburghskiclub.org requesting
that a Membership Information Packet be mailed to you. Remember to include your postal
address.
- The only instant way, will be to come to one of our social meetings (October to
March) and sign up at the desk. You will receive your membership card on the spot.
At some major events, there will be a membership volunteer to help you. If there is
no membership desk set up at a particular event, you can request an application. You can
fill it out on the spot , include your membership check, and then pay the member rate for
entry to that same event. Your membership card will be mailed to you.
